My left speaker on this laptop doesnt work, i dont have any headphones or anything connected, sound only comes from the right speaker.. what could possibly be wrong? or does this laptop only have 1 speaker (on the right)?
And also my SRS Premium Sound program doesnt work, everytime i try to open it, a error box pops up saying, " Cannot find .startup file!. "
what can i do to fix it?

I have the same problem

No. Your laptop has two speakers. I have a HP Pavilion g4-1117dx notebook. My right speaker is not working any at all. It has SRS premium sound. Now my left speaker is begining to act up. When playing a movie or listening music it sounds a bit shakey as if its gonna stop working at any minute. Is there a speaker problem with these laptops on a whole??

Increased fan noise can suggest the laptop in starting to overheat possibly due to dust having accumulated inside causing the air circulation to be not as good as it should be so the fan speeds up to compensate - this is normal design to keep the processor and circuitry at a stable temperature. Unfortunately if this is the cause of the fan noise, the only real solution is either opening up the laptop and removing the dust or somehow getting it blown out - I would not suggest doing either unless you know what you are doing. Whether this is related to the speaker problem, I would doubt.
