HP Pavilion DV6700 series USB not working

Hi,

Got a HP Pavilion DV6700 series, model DV6811EO that is running Win7Pro 32bit.

Can not get the USB ports to work at all. Does anyone got a hint on the driver to use? HP do not support this modell, and there is no win 7 drivers for it at all.

The only error in device manager is the unknown device under USB. See enclosed picture please.

I tried all the chipset and other drivers on HP support for vista on this one, but with no luck.

Simpel solution that worked for me...

Hi,

I have a HP Pavilion dv7 where the USB ports suddenly did'nt work - device manager reported "Unknown Device" - error code 43 - searching the net I found the solution:

Disconnect the power supply, remove the battery & restart - and there you go - everything back to normal!
