HP ScanJet scanner

HI,as i upgraded my pc from ultimate to a new gaming pc home premium,i cant install my scanner the HP ScanJet 2200c,driver installed but wont work,it is not recognized in devise manager,i uninstalled it and re installed it several times but wont start,as it says installation ok but wont start.

whats the problem?

Hi there ... Your scanner is very old that is the problem ... Try Vuescan it is not free but has a 30 Day Trial

thanks m8,ill try it as im on my old pc to copy the other setup .because on my win 7 ultimate it is working but on my home premium no,that why im bothering,yes its old but i don't need it as much so for now its enough for me as i scan some rare docs only,so when i needed it so much ill see other options,

i don't understand why on the win 7 ultimate is working and on win 7 home isn't being recognized not even from the devise manager,but is installing

why?

the Vuescan is noisy and as i need to scan i cant print or save the scan with watermarks,

on the HP site says that the scanjet 2200c is not supported by win 7 and for win 8 ok,this is a shame so what should i do throw it away?

AND WHY ON WIN 7 ULTIMATE WORK AND ON HOME PREMIUM NO?

can someone explain?



i bought this scanner few years ago as i worked well with my win 7 ultimate,so why with the home premium no?

Hi there ... Like you i have no idea why it works on Windows Ultimate and not on Home .. I am surprised really that it works at all with any Windows 7 OS .. Saying that you have Windows Ultimate so why not just use it on that OS .. Not ideal i know but at least it works ..

because i ghanghed pc,i cant connect the other pc as well,as i do not have room for 2 pc;s

yes thats it on the win 7 ultimate it workes but on home premium no,

but with money,so you have the original sw then you cant install it,and the other option is to pay.
