Hello, I am from Australia and have recently installed win 7 on my dell 1440 inspiron laptop
i have no problems until i use my e160g modem on the 3 network , when using this device windows 7 will freeze at anytime, no keyboard nothing , oly possiblity is reset, it can happen 5 times in an hour or not at all , very random, I have tried using the internal wireless card and it works fine for days without any problem until i plug in my huawei usb...i have called 3 network and they say theres no prob...but there is..and others have experieanced it as well. i have the new drivers from the 3 site...can you please helpthankyou...

Hi. I'm using a huwei modem from three ireland on windows seven at the moment. It didin't take me too long to figure out how to get it to work. I'm not using an e160g, but this should work right for you.

1. Uninstall the official three drivers and software
2. Download Huawei Mobile Partner from here.
3. Restart your computer.
4. Open Mobile Partner, Click Tools at the top, then click Profile Managment.
5. Click New, then save. Close that window.
6. Click the "Connect" button on the main window, and it will connect.

You can now also connect by clicking the network icon on the taskbar, click "New Profile1".

Well i did have this 3 broadband Huweii, and i did installed the Mobile Partnet too, but it seems i still need the 3 Software to get the USB modem to connect.

What is your setting on the 3 software, i can check with mine.

Hi again. I went onto three australia's website, and it seems that you'll get instructions on how to get it to work on Windows 7 if you call them. Their number is 1300 651 545.

i have the same exact problem with my huawei 153 in egypt with laptop toshiba satellite L505 . windows 7 ultimate 32 bit
but i have somthing to . the connection sometimes disconnected by itself it could 5 and it may b hours ... and the freeze is like what you said , it could b just 1 min and it may last for 5 hrs . icalled the network and they say everything is fine .... but it is not i am freaking out ... please help
