Solved I Cannot Open Any Word Processors - Word 2000 and/or OpenOffice

This is about Win7/Pro X64.

This morning I tried to open Word, then Open Office Document. Windows politely informed me that the software had stopped working, not to specific an error message.

What might have changed overnight? I'm old fashioned and habitually let my system rest when I'm not likely to use it for many hours.

Any new updates installed?

Did you try restarting you computer?

This procedure works for M$ Office, Open Office, LibreOffice!

Run Office Repair

Choose Control Panel.
Below the Programs heading, click the Uninstall a Program link. ...
Select the Office you wish to repair from the list of programs. ...
Click the Change button. ...
Choose Repair. ...
Click the Repair button.

Perhaps the Problem is Too Little System Disk Space?

Thank you for being there with a quick reply.
After a search (we downsized and moved recently) I found the program disks I was asked to use. It took a while for the process to run, like perhaps it was reinstalling over the original install. Unfortunately, I got the same error message after I rebooted and tried again.
Yes, I can open the program. The problem happens when I try to open a Word document on my data disk.
Aha! I may have the culprit. My system disk is almost full. Only 3.75 % free space. Perhaps Word or Windows is balking regarding dynamic memory space? It is a Crucial MX 250 Gb. I will attach a 'space analysis or list of largest files' in ZTreeWin and the cryptic error message.

Suspicion Confirmed!

I simply deleted a few large temp files and I could again open Word 2000 files.

I guess it is time to pop for a larger SSD and move things across.

Just what I need, another project.
