That's an energy saver 2.5" 320gb 5,400rpm drive you have there. Being a laptop explains the 44C temp being seen while expected being the only item that shows.

The information is specs however and not a diagnostics report as far as seeing any bad sectors. The Sea Tools would be one that will run on that brand of drive. SeaTools | Seagate

The diagnostics option will report any actual problems if there are any to find.

Just a note there are other drive testing programs as well like HDD Tune for example that displays the sectors as it runs. Not the best tool but can spot anything real bad. Not bad for a freebie however.

For Toshiba's own diagnostic tools however simply go to Software Utilities

I don't know what happen but now my laptop is stuck when I load the Windows 7. After logging in, it kept on saying windows explorer is not responding... This happened after I installed the Seagate Seatools. I can't even run the seatools.

I'm getting more worried now

What's next is you run the extended SeaGate Tools for DOS. That is a program that you burn to CD. You boot from the CD and you run the program.

there is no magic wand. There is no quicky solution.

Some details on "the other drives" may help. your tcpmon.ini issue may be separate to your inability to create a system image.

The HDD Tune results were good that way. Just remember that will only show things to a certain extent however not being full pledged diagnostics but simply a good fast freebie.

Rather then the Sea Tools I posted the link for the Toshiba diagnostics as well. The Windows stall issue as well as the Windows Explorer not responding is definitely from OS errors.

I started running into that problem right before the latest clean install of 7 which replaced the install that was already on for 2yrs. and needed to replaced. Hopefully you have a full recovery option or disk or look up the ultility to create one. You may end needing to consider a full refresh of OS there.

First however seeing the tcpmon.ini taken care of should be a help as well as something needed. That won't be the fix all for the problems you are running into but be a good first step. If you are going to be able to save the present copy of 7 I have to agree with karlsnooks some efforts for repair will be necessary.

A good memtest won't hurt any either. That will begin to rule out any possible hardware problems.

My laptop just turn itself off while i was running the seatools. What happen? confirmed HD problem?

Did you have the ac adapter plugged in or running off of the battery when that happened? If you were running on the battery alone it may simply shut off when the battery dropped down too far needing to be recharged.

There are a few other reasons for the laptop to simply shut down without seeing any hardware fail alerts before assuming the drive is toast. Another besides a high cpu temp can cause the overheat protection circuit to kick in. Or the lithium battery on the board itself if that board sees one growing too weak.

Have you tried turning it back on since to see what it does?
