When I try to log onto my user account I click on it and the computer shuts down, no error message. I can log into the administrator account, it's protected by a password. I have nortons and malwarebytes and have run them both with no malware detected. I also tried system restore but all of my restore points are gone. So, what next? Thanks

Also I have an old Windows XP Laptop for backup/occasional use etc.
It's gone beyond not being able to logging in as user. Both user accounts have been erased as well as a lot of the information on the hard drive. I also got locked out of the admin account, the password was changed. I booted up Hirens boot cd to try to get access to the admin account but was unable to. I then tried to erase the harddrive but also was unable to because of some damaged sectors. I'm currently running a program to try to repair the damaged sectors so I can reinstall windows. The person who owns this computer is into torrents, need I say more. I helped him out once before and added an admin account, with a password but I think the password was too much trouble for him. I wonder if someone has added some sort of malware to the torrents that just sweeps through a harddrive and erases everything?
