Solved i.e. won't work, both 32 and 64 bit , now firefox problems

In programs, ie(64 bit ) is listed, but when I try to use it error showing ie not working and screen prompts me to cancel. In programs window, ie with nothing beside it is listed and the same error as above occurs.
In programs window, when I first got computer in 2009, ie(32bit) was listed. Somehow I must have deleted it. ie(32bit) is gone. Don't know how to get it back.
I have tried numerous times to uninstall ie and install new ie browser, but my computer does not work properly afterwards.

About a year ago, because of ie problems above, I started using firefox and everything was going fine until lowes.com would not allow me to "apply" coupon code. It does not even show the word "apply" next to coupon code. - When I had this problem, I installed ie and this showed lowes.com correctly and I entered a coupon code and selected "apply." I just saved my cart, logged off computer and left house. Later I logged on my computer and had to uninstall ie because of computer problems and now I use firefox and my cart shows the coupon is invalid(date) and when I click on "remove" nothing happens. My cart is trapped with the invalid coupon and there is no longer the selection to "apply" a new coupon. I cleared cookies and cache and still no go. Even uninstall firefox and reinstall did not help. Thanks for any assistance
