I have problem with out look Express

Hi,

sorry i don't know the rules here , the first time to join forum in English language , but i found this forums contain helpful article , now my problem with out look Express , i have tried several way to import my sent items from outlook Express to window live mail using the methods explained here i faced problem with sent items the below message appear :-

No messages can be found in this folder or another application is running that has the required open please select another folder or try closing applications that may have files

Even i closed every thing and i have backup for out look with all emails

Hope that i explained my problem in clear way

Welcome to Seven Forums hanan. I don't use a mail client myself, but have seen that message many times on this forum. There are 2 things that are often suggested.

First it is suggested to create a new folder in OE called Mail, and put the .dbx files there and point to that folder when using the Browse button when exporting

The 2nd suggestion is to make sure the files are not set to read only.

Open the folder> Select all the files> Right click them and click Properties> Make sure the Read only check box is not checked
