I haven't been able to use Disk Check on my C drive

Eversince my computer went haywire and I had to delete and make a new admin. account (Not from a virus/Seems to be a Windows 7 problem) I haven't been able to use Disk Check on my C drive. It says unable to do such and such and that I must use system restore. The thing is I don't have a restore point before I my account was destroyed.
