i installed windows 7 32 and 64,please help

so i installed windows 7 32 and after like 3 months i installed 64
the thing is i did it all by myself
and didn`t really knew what i was doing
and installed them both together instead of getting rid of 32 and installing 64
now this is what happened...

as you can see i have 2 folders,"windows" and "windows old" and 2 folders "program files" and ""program files x86" and my local disk C is red

please tell me what to do,is it okay to delete the folder "windows old" and "program files" ....as u can see it`s occupying me 22 GB,or what can i do?

Don't delete Program Files. 32-bit programs are stored on the program files (x86) while 64-bit applications are stored on the regular Program Files folder. As for the Windows.old, you can read this article How to restore a Windows 7-based computer to a previous Windows installation by using the Windows.old folder

If you don't want your previous settings and customization from your last Windows installation, you can delete that folder.

open CD/DVD rom, shut down computer, wait 10 seconds,close CD/DVD rom with the DVD you want have installed, power back up and press any key to begin install, when it come to the drive partitioning, delete all partitions, click next.
if your system was originally 32 bit install 32bit back, cause with a 32bit being a 64 bit performance is slower even if its 64bit compatable. the WEI rating is set for 32bit and has higher rating, installing a 64bit will give you a lower rating.
P.S.
click custom install. also is the DVD of win7 a full version or is it a factory OEM DVD.

but like if i were to delete windows.old folder anyway
cause i`ve got most of what i need in the other windows folder
nothing seriously bad would happen right?
i mean i may lose some programs and bla bla bla,but nothing seriously damaging and unfixable right?

No. The only purpose of that Windows.old folder is to just restore your customizations (wallpaper, themes etc.) and programs from your old installation on to your new installation though not all programs will work. Personally, I just delete that and reinstall all of my programs to give the PC a clean look.

i would do a total clean reinstall and start from fresh, if you made a back up disc of your earlier files you can install it. be more helpful to know all your system specs.

Yes you can delete the windows.old folder using Disk Cleanup if you don't need any files from it. It contains your previous installation. Windows.old Folder - Delete - Windows 7 Forums

As long as your partitioning is correct then you can keep the install you have if you're satisfied with performance.

Please post back a screenshot of your maximized Disk Mgmt drive map with listings, using Snipping Tool in Start Menu so we can look it over to make sure it's correct.
