Have just started to use my Blue Media 6300 sat nav again. The manual says I need activesync to view on a PC. Some say this won't run on W7. Is this so and, if not, is there an alternative please.

Hi anjou2, Does the satnav use an sd card ? if it does then you can just pop the sd into a card reader and either install data or remove data through windows ;)

Thanks pebbly, hadn't thought of that. Having moved to W7 I thought I'd install the old software on the new machine, it does make it easier to work on and see the larger pic on a PC. I googled activesync and there appeared to be an alternative similar program for W7 ? Have just tried the SD card in my PC, "CE.exe is not a valid file for fat 32" (thought I was 64 bit)

Windows7's replacement for ActiveSync is called "Mobile Device Center". I think it is activated automatically if a device requiring it is connected, and should offer pretty much the same functionality.
