I need help Can't install iTunes

I have a new gateway all in one touchscreen and I have tried to download iTunes several times but I keep getting a message saying that the windows is invalid I have spoken with the computer company and they said that it is a problem with iTunes now I can't get iTunes to help me so can anyone please tell me what I need to do this is getting old

This is the error message and I have already spoken with itunes and they can't help me either

This installation package could not be opened. Verify that the package exists and that you can access it, or contact the application vendor to verify that this is a valid windows installer package.

Have you checked the link that Gini gave you? There's lots of useful information in it.

Which version of Windows 7 are you using? 32-Bit or 64-Bit?

If you have Windows 7 32-Bit you need the x86 version of iTunes, for Windows 7 64-Bit you'll need to download iTunes x64.

When you spoke to iTunes, they probably recommended that you delete the file you downloaded and then re-download. If that didn't solve the problem, I'm sorry, but I can't offer further suggestions.

I would check to see whether your system is 32-bit or 64-bit. You can do this by opening Start, and then right-clicking on Computer and selecting "Properties". Under the System group, listed under "System type:", it'll tell you if your system is 32-bit or 64-bit.

Using that information, download the iTunes installer to the desktop. You'll want to download the x86 version for 32-bit systems, and the x64 version for 64-bit systems. Once it's downloaded to the desktop, right click on the installer, and select properties. Under the "Compatibility" tab, check the box stating run this program as an administrator. Close the properties box.

If you were unable to find the compatibility tab or if you couldn't check that box, don't worry about it. Now try running the program. If you were successful in running it as an administrator, the UAC will popup and verify your request to start the installer. Click "Yes" if it does. Hopefully, the installer will work. If not, please let us know and we'll get back to you with more suggestions. =)

If I were you I try an older version of iTunes, as I also had difficulty installing the latest version 10.4.1. Use x64 if your laptop is a 64 bit.
