I need help with the Move Command.

I am trying to move all the png files from the c: drive to the f: drive using the Move Command.
I just cannot get the command correct.
Here are Snips of my most basic attempt.
Your help is appreciated.

with backslash

and also /y stops prompting for confirmation that you want to overwrite an existing destination file.

Try copy or xcopy. If either works, then you can follow with a del c:\*.jpg

Would be useful if you show the list of files that you are trying to move.

Also, you are trying to "move all the png" . Is that a typo?

Yes, I am trying to move all the png files.
I have already copied them to f:\.
I did not know of a del command.
I was using the move command as I believe it deletes them as it does the move.
I'll try it.

Perhaps I need to have an elevated command!

If your files are JPG, use *.jpg, if they are PNG use *.png

Just make sure you have copied all the files first.
