Hello. I have a question to ask you.
I am having issues with my Internet Explorer 9 in Windows 7 Professional 64-bit. What is happening is this:
Yesterday, I accidently deleted in my Windows 7 taskbar the IE icon to the right of the Start button icon. Okay, then I replaced it from the start menu and positioned it as the first icon right of the Start button icon in the taskbar. Okay, I thought all was fixed. However, this is what is now happening. Say, I click on a link in my e-mail from within my e-mail client (Windows Live Mail 2012) ; then if I already have at least a window open of IE (say in the background), then another tab will open for that e-mail weblink next to IE's existing tab -- that is normal. However, if I do NOT HAVE ANY tabs open AT ALL for IE to begin with, and I click on the same link in my e-mail from within my e-mail client, I get a whole new IE window to open and it shows the IE icon in my Windows 7 taskbar at the far right (the next available open space for an icon of a program to show in the taskbar).
I do not want this to happen and it did not happen before I accidently deleted the IE icon to the right of the Start button icon yesterday. I want any and all windows that open for IE to be all associated with that one IE icon to the right of the Start button like before. What it should be doing normally is stacking IE icons (up to three) all under the first icon right of the Start button.
Please tell me what you think or know is going on here and what I need to do in order to fix this issue.
Please reply.
Thank you!
