How do I lock my screen without locking my account?

I'm in a situation where I have a landlord entering my unit without permission. I have a monitor with a webcam that has surveillance features but if I lock my account it disables itself. I found a site online that said you could select None as a screen saver and require a Password on return but that failed to work on my system. Any suggestions?

Since your account is password protected, what if you create a limited-user account with no access to files or applications except the webcam?

That's is actually an excellent suggestion! LOL, sometimes the most simple solutions are the last one we think of.

I hope your suspicions about your landlord are wrong. However, if true, please be careful how you handle the situation. You may want to research renter's rights in your area and contact an appropriate agency.
