I removed U3 from FD, but it has old name still?

Any idea where to look inside of regeidt?

There's so many folders & subfolders I get lost, let alone know where to find it.

I can't see the whole map there but there should be an entry for the previous name of the drive have a close look....I'm just not sure with what changes you've already tried may have affected the drive labels but basically you can delete all of those if you like reboot and reconnect devices

So if I delete everything under that folder, I will just have to unplug & re-plug all usb cables? I wont have to reinstall software or drivers?

No, not specifically, just all the crazy keycode named folders for the USB devices.

I havent done it yet, plan to a little later today.

So unplug all USB devices, delete those folders & then plug all USB's back in & they will load up their drivers automatically & I'll be good to go?

Ok with a closer inspection I found the one that was labeled Sandisk Cruzer & deleted it.

As soon as I plugged the flash drive back in, immeditally the old name I created under U3 popped up.

I tried to right click & rename it & it goes through the motion until you press enter & goes back to the U3 name?

did you reboot after deleting reg key then plug flash back in also you can plug flash drive into another computer and rename it then plug it back into yours

I am betting then that it is in the firmware and can only be changed using the U3 software.
