I think I deleted my IE 64 and now im trying to get it back

I was annoyed at the fact I pinned the 64 bit IE to my taskbar and every time I clicked it, it opened a new one. So I pinned the new one, and deleted the old one and emptied my reycle bin. Now when I type EXPLORER 64 nothing comes up. Please help thanks

You only deleted the shortcut or Quick Start button. Type in IE64 or Internet Explorer64. Check the Start/All Programs menu as well.

IE 64 should be in C:\Program Files\Internet Explorer as iexplore.exe.

Yea, I did a search it'snot in there or anywhere on my computer. I have iexplore, just not 64

With EPM not activated you'll see only one 64 bit process usually Managing the open *32 bit processes,

With EPM Activated you'll see One still Managing but All open Tabs are now using 64 bit Processes,

If yes then you have 64 bit IE available.

You should also have:

C:\Program Files (x86)\Internet Explorer\iexplore.exe

That's the 32 bit (default) version.

Yes it should Please confirm using Task Manager,
Right click a blank spot on your Taskbar and click on Start Task Manager,
Processes section,
You should see the same items as my prior screen shots showed.

No that cant be correct. I am getting ads, I downloaded the 64bit edition of ad blocker ONLY. So If im seeing ads im on 32 bit. Something happened, theres gotta be a way to reload ie even if i gotta delete it and reinstall

Seems the easiest way to restore a deleted system file is to use System restore to an earlier time/ Before you deleted the file,

Who are "they"? Just curious, why are you intent to use IE 64 bit?

Have you tried to run Windows Update manually?

If you have IE11, then IE11 64bit will start one parent process that is 64bit. That parent process will start 32 bit children that do the actual surfing.

Once you turn on Enhanced Protected Mode (EPM), then that parent process will start 64bit children to do the surfing. There are some websites that need to load plug-ins. Some of those plug-ins are only written for 32bits. So the parent process attempts to load a 32bit child so that it can load a 32bit plug-in.

It is quite possible to have one main 64bit process and some 64bit children and some 32bit children all at the same time.

It is against the forum rules to discuss ad blocking... so I'll just say to uninstall that plug in and look for other (more efficient) ways to do what you want.

They being microsoft. You used to be able to just delete it and reinstall.

Any way Lets go back and see if this produces any restore points before you deleted a file you actually need,
Click the Start button and your User name listed near the top,

Then use the Navigation pane on the left column to go to Computer and follow the arrows,
