I think i want to go from 64bit to 32bit...

I dunno, oscardivine. The thread got sidetracked from confusion regarding Win 7 32 bit and Win 7 64 bit compared to IE9 32 bit and IE9 64 bit.

Sorry about that.

Your programs should run OK on Win 7 64 bit unless drivers the programs use have not been compiled for a 64 bit OS.

In that case, you will have to back everything up, perform a clean re-install of the 32 bit OS and then re-install your programs and data.

There really is no other option if your programs have dependencies not addressed by 64 bit drivers and compatibility mode.

Most of the programs work (but some are unstable. but when they work, they work like a charm. but you never know when they choose to work)

Another reason i want 32bit is because (i can swear on it!) my computer used the ram and processors better. giving me better performance. Now it feels like the computer is slower and much more fragile. And pro tools is said to being able to run on a 64bit system (by the manufacturer).

when i was on 32bit, i got no crashes or bluescreens. i almost never get blue screens today, but in the beginning it was alot!

sad to hear i have to do a complete re-install, maybe i'll stay with 64bit then... i don't know

If you have all of your programs, try a repair install of your 64 bit OS. Your data will be safe. All you'll have to do is re-install the programs.

Might be worth a shot before doing a clean install.
