I want to buy a new graphic card, can someone help me chose?

Check both ends of the cables, make sure they are completely seated. The larger cable is the sata power cable, the smaller one is the data cable. Make sure the data cable is completely seated in the motherboard 1st port and the hard drive. it should look like this. If that does not work, try a different cable.

i have 2 cables for hard disk from my new psu the one for very right and the one for very left and ofc the middle one from pc in your photo you dont have the one for the very right why?

If you use a sata hard drive, you need only the 2 cables shown. 1 sata power cable (very left wide one) 1 sata data cable (right, orange one).

Yes, one Power cable, the wide one, and the narrow data cable. The drive may have some other pins but are not used for a PC.
this says laptop but is the same setup for a full size HDD.

Is your hard drive a SATA one or an old IDE type?

SATA drives use the connections as shown by Essenbe: the power and data connections are right next to each other.

The old IDE drives use a 4 pin Molex connector for power, and a 40/80 pin connector for data. The data cable were typical ribbon cable a few cm wide, although there were also round cables.

Some of the earliest SATA hard drives included both SATA and Molex type power connectors, but that was maybe 10 years ago.

Ok here are the photos i tryed with and without the 4 pin cable and i also tryed with and without the big cable.

I can also make more photos if you want. and my hard disk model is wd10eavs

I've never seen the 4 pin cable connected to a SATA HDD like you show in the pic. Where does the other end connect to? It looks like a floppy disk drive power connector. I'm thinking your SATA cable (the red one) is bad.

Lool at your drive. Is it a sata or an IDE drive? If IDE it connects with a wide ribbon cable, if it's a sata drive it connectd like the picture I showed in post 21, with a sata power connecter and a sata power cable (the orange one in your picture).



This is not a molex, it is a sata power cionnecter

Best I can tell from the pictures, is if the look the same, the hard drive should be connected just like the DVD is connected.

It still wont work i get the same error when i open pc ¨reboot and select proper boot device¨
And yes i got sata and its connected like you said.

Either my harddisk stoped working or i did put the cables wrong cause with my old psu it dont work.

In your bios, go to the boot selection and see if the drive is shown, if it is, select it as the 2nd boot device and the DVD as 1st boot device, save and exit.

When you turn the computer om, can you feel the drive spin up and does it make any noises. Also, do you have another sata hard drive?
