I know there are many themes for getting the look of the OS to look different.
But I am wondering if there is a way I can take the exact black look of vista, and make the Windows 7 task bar the same color? I can make the windows 7 taskbar black but it does not look like vista black.
Hope this makes sense.
I hated Vista, but I loved the black theme the taskbar had.
I want to retain all features of windows 7 taskbar, just change the color.
Anyone know of anything that could do this?

Thanks.

Your awesome for reading this.
I also thought Vista looked more pretty than Windows 7, and you can download a visual style that looks like Vista here:
Vista VS for Windows 7 FINAL by ^fediaFedia on deviantART
Now you have to employ a bit of tweaking to get custom styles to work in Windows, you could use a patched UxTheme.dll file (you can find that easily on the internet) but my preferred method is a nifty tool called UxStyle which uses a custom service to allow custom themes. You can download it here: UxStyle - no more patching.

One thing to note, is that the start orb is a bit different in Windows 7, and themes don't change this because the orb graphics are located in explorer.exe. This can be modified too, if you really want.

Thanks! Ya I was just looking to make just the taskbar look like vista black, not the whole theme everywhere.
I think what you gave me will help so thanks again.
