Icon Problems

Just about every shortcut icon on my desktop has a different icon picture (all are the same picture of a CD) on top of the original icon. How do I take the top icon off? I don't even know what I did to make it like that.

If you can show us a screen shot of the problem, it may help. If all shortcut's are have this it may be a variation of the shortcut arrow. A few ways to remove shorcut overlays are outlined in this tutorial.

Thanks, I forgot about the shortcut arrow icon. I just restored the arrow icon and now everything is fine.
