Solved ICON Resize!!

Never had this issue before. I have a folder of shortcuts of many apps which are of medium icons. Of late whenever I open the folder the icon size is small and arranged one above the other.This has happened many times , where I set the icon size in the folder , and when reopening it has changed. Usually I hibernate my system but the above problem I am observing only for the past few days. Any help is welcome..

I had copied the following to my command prompt and restarted naturally. Now it seems to work fine. The solution I found within the forum only.


The last command will restart the computer, so be sure to close and save anything that you are working on first.

• taskkill /IM explorer.exe /F
• CD /d %userprofile%\AppData\Local
• DEL IconCache.db /a
• shutdown /r /f /t 00

4. The IconCache.db file has now been rebuilt.
