Can anyone help me with a method of personalising some of the shortcut icons which come standard with Windows seven?
I would like to use some personal photos etc., instead of the those supplied in the standard list. Is this possible and if so is it hard to do?
Thanks,

Choose the picture you want to use as your icon ... resize and edit it as per your need .

Now download IcoFX (free), convert your picture to windows icon (.ico) with it . Save the result in a real location , and dont delete it .

Right click on your desktop icon > properties > change icon > browse (to the location of your custom icon) >OK > Apply > Ok .

That's all .
