Just two questions,

1. What do you intend to be doing (Gaming, Video Editing, etc)
2. Whats your price range?

I couldn't really tell you without trying the one you have now, and that one on Newegg.

I can say that you will get a bit more performance out of that one on newegg though. :) Unless theres something else on your computer thats bottlenecking your performance.

I want a 5xxx with DX11! But my system is too old with no PCI-e too. As is, my cpu is bottleneck for my card. But still, works very very well for most games, excluding GTAIV. GTAIV is cpu hog I tell you lol.

Does anyone have $3k to lend me for a new rig I want? haha

Have nVidia not released DX11 cards yet? I thought they did already but didn't see any on newegg so that makes me believe they haven't.

I'm an ATI/AMD person myself. :)

Not as far as I know since I am an ATi man myself. Don't know too much about nvidia's line these days.

My Current Rig i built myself for less than £300 with all new parts , gotta save the pennies

had a look at all yer suggestions and also did some research about ATI Cards

looks like my Bottleneck will be my 128 mgbit bus

so just maybe i may end seriously considering the ATI 5770 :zip: as that has 128 and also is a jump up

just now need to decide which version as theres loads of choice as to who has added there Extra bits to the Cards

leaning towards the ASUS one simply coz i have a ASUS Mainboard :)

No Problem

It shouldn't be a problem if you want to upgrade your card, just make sure the drivers will support your version of Windows 7, and it should work.

Best of luck,

This is just a suggestion. When I'm looking for a card and have decided on what model. One of the more important things to me is the warranty and customer service. Why? Because with graphic cards you seem to see a lot more cards arriving DOA or failing shortly after the purchase. So it is IMO important to go with a manufacturer that has a good customer service and warranty. So I choose to try and stay with XFX, Evga or BFG.This being said,I"m not at all familiar with ASUS and their track record in these departments, or the etailer or retailer where you'd plan on your purchase. Just some food for thought. Fabe

For ATi Sapphire are the top manufacturer in my opinion. All my ATi's have been with them.

Well considering Vista is RTM, and not even public yet... I'd say you should wait for anything new. DX11 isn't even a worry yet, since we just started making games for DX10. Really I'd wait for the market to go down, because the 9500 series can run DX10 and my 8800GT can run DX10 perfect. I would almost say as a cheap alternative just go with SLI and get another 9500 for cheap, that way you save money and run all the DX10 with 2 cards.
