Hi,
I am located behind an authenticated squid proxy that blocks a computer if it gets too many invalid requests (requests without proper proxy settings and authentication).
Recently I found that my computer was blocked too frequently due to some kind of invalid requests.
however all i know from the log provided by my ISP (which runs the squid proxy server) is that my computer tried to connect to dapi.ds-intel.net:443 about 10 times every minute.
I have AVG internet security 2013 which has a built in firewall. It blocked some requests originating from a "SYSTEM" process about 4 times every minute too. However I cannot fiigure out what is bombarding the server and causing me to be banned from it. I did a virus scan and a rootkit scan with the same AVG application and found nothing.
As far as any Intel software is concerned, the only application I have installed is the Intel My WiFi Dashboard in the last week. The problem originated during this time. So I uninstalled it, bu the requests to the server just wont stop.
How can I identify what is making those requests and stop it from causing further problems?
