IE 9 doesn't close completely after i clicked the cross button. Music just kept playing in the background and i had to go to the task manager to terminate all ie9. Soon after that, i got a BSOD. I can't be sure if IE 9 was the cause of it but it crashed more often than chrome. I am sure IE9 is a resource hogged with 60k of memory being used.

Sounds like your music plugin failed not IE9. What was playing the music? Flash? itunes? WMP? Most people are not reporting your problem. Are you using the 32bit or 64bit version of IE9? Did you install Adobe "Square" flash for IE9? If not you should.

I am in total agreement with you, you have to report whatever you feel missing and what you expect it to do by completing the bug reports. If you don't want to put up with all those bugs in IE9 beta or you want to concentrate with your work you are better off with IE8.
IE9 beta is for people those who have a lot of time in their hands and play around with it and help IE team.

I have to agree, it is a BETA version, even though it was released to the general public. There will be problems and compatibility problems with some plug-ins. If I.E.9 is like many other "Beta" releases not everything is included and because of the bug reporting the final will not have (or shouldn't) have these problems.

I tried it and fell back to I.E.8 as I couldn't log in to my bank, even in the compatibility mode, and several other sites had problems both in the native and compatibility modes. Plus I already have Chrome installed, I don't need another "chrome look alike".

Opps, i didn't thought of those plugins that were causing the problems. I was streaming music from youtube and it 32 bits IE on a 64 bits windows 7 platform. Is it a flash plugin problem?

It could be. It's well established that Flash isn't the most stable plugin for browsers. You should hear what Steve Jobs says about it...

I found in using IE9 beta that videos would not playback on Facebook unless I set "Compatability Mode" for Facebook.
