IE11 crashes w/ "add to favorites" but not w/r"add to favorites bar"

IE11 crashes w/ "add to favorites" but not w/r"add to favorites bar"

I want to add website to favorites. I click "favorites" and then "add to favorites". IE!! says "internet explorer has stopped working...".

BUT if I click "favorites" and then "add to favorites BAR", it's okay and doesn't crash. I cannot figure out how to fix this problem! I tried reinstalling and it worked for awhile, like a week maybe, and then back to the same old crashing.

Any ideas?

What version of IE are you using?
Have you tried running IE in no add-ons mode?

I'm using IE 11 and I have tried using no add ons. Thank you for the suggestions
