I have been running IE8 with no issues since I got my computer 14 months ago. Now things have gone bad.
I am getting "Out of memory at line xx" and "Stop running this script? A script on this webpage is causing your browser to run slowly..."
It seems to occur on one specific website and then all other sites will experience problems. I have had it occur for the first time in a session at another website so I would say it is not website specific.
If I run with no add-ons I will still get these errors.
Some background: I was getting an info bar error about an add-on failing to load on certain sites and traced it to doubleclick.net being in restricted sites, placed there by SpywareBlaster. Once I removed it from restricted sites, no more info bar error. But then I started noticing Unknown Zone (Mixed) status on several sites. Then the script errors started. If I put doubleclick.net back in restricted zones I will still get the script errors and will be back to getting my add-on error.
For troubleshooting I happened to see there was a Java update so I uninstalled the version I had and installed the most current.
I also had reset IE8 but noticed no improvement so restored back so I could at least have all my settings and history back.
I'm kind of out of ideas. I know I can move to another browser but I have used IE for almost 20 years and would like to stay with it if possible.
