Hi @ all. I'm having some problems with windows' firewall. Last night I tried to set up a simple ftp server (to share a couple of folders, and access that folder through other computers connected to the network by typing the IP address into a browser/ftp client on the other computer). My problem simply is, that I cannot connect to the ftp. It works fine when I try to access it from my computer (which is the server). But I can't connect to it through other computers, unless I turn off Windows Firewall. I tried playing around with the Inbound/Outbound rules (disabled/enabled everything), nothing worked. I also have FTP allowed in "Allow a program or feature through Windows Firewall", and I still haven't managed to get it to work. Can anyone suggest any solutions? Thanks in advance.

Thanks for your reply! Port 21 is forwarded on the server's IP. I enabled/disabled DMZ on the IP as well, didn't work. When I connect to the IP from other computers on the network, it connects and "waits for welcome message", stalls for a while, and disconnects. It looks like the Windows firewall is refusing connections, I don't know why. I don't want to turn it off completely either.

In windows firewall go to advance security, inbound rules, new rule (its in the top right pane), under type select port and configure it for tcp and the port number 21, go through the rest of the steps
