As bloody infuriating what they did is, compared to other alternatives like it being totalled, completely stripped or never to return, at least you got it back relatively in 'one piece'.

I'm really happy to hear you got your car back! From the start of this thread it wasn't looking too good, but it all worked out in the end.

I know it sucks, but it's another crazy situation that will just add to the overall sentiment of the car.

I was thinking the very same thing with the paint. I had the interior about 90% done but the outside with the rusty doglegs and new/used front panels and primer sprayed on any metal showing looked......shall I say like du du ! Then I get the energy one day to sand the whole exterior down and fair it together. Spraying it the flat dark grey primer tightened the look up and made the car look sinister. I've named her my urban assault vehicle for years...lol. But before I could run into a store and practically leave the keys inside, running and she'd be there when I returned as it looked so bad from the outside as to almost repel people.
I'm very happy that she's back but in my current state of finance I'm just having to go into crisis mode and hold off on things till I can get a positive cash flow going. Thanks for all the great comments and this is truly just a set back but I'm challenged to get at least seats and seat belts plus some sort of alarm and with possible wiring damage and a dead battery the dollars needed are way beyond me currently. This too will pass ! Cheers, the Cheese
