importing from googlemail

i import contacts to outlook 2010 from googlemail. i store all numbers with international prefix +61 or whatever. when i import into outlook on one computer + is present on other computer + is missing. i am using same exported file to import to both. what setting am i missing here.

software is microsoft office professional plus 2010 on both computer

version 14.0.6123.5001 works ok on this computer

version 14.0.6023.1000 missing + on this computer
