Ok this one has me stumped. I have been using dual monitors for a couple years now on my work PC (MSI 5450, HP 6005 Pro MT) and when I left work on Friday 8/28 it was working perfectly.

Today I booted up my pc and the second montior (17" dell, my main is a 22" HP) is not displaying correctly. The windows are much larger and the taskbar is nearly off the screen. When I fullscreen a window I can see around 75% of the window.

I have tried changing the resolution to no avail. No matter what resolution I choose (1440x900 is what I have always used it on) the windows appear larger than the screen and I can only see 10% of the taskbar. It is as though my card believes it is a much larger screen than what it actually is.

I did upgrade the pc from 2gb to 4gb of ram before I left on Friday. I obviously had to disconnect all of the connections, but I did have it up and running before I left work and the screens worked fine.

Any ideas?

Playing with my ATI Catalyst control center I can adjust the image scale and size of my main monitor (the one that works fine) but I cannot change the image scale or size & location on my 2nd monitor (2nd monitor is DVI, main is VGA).

Problem solved. My second monitor is a Dell but I bought it used, so it has had a little wear and tear, and the buttons don't seem to work. I had to unplug it and plug it in again and the monitor auto corrected itself.
