Hi, the way my system is set up is that on my SATA drive I have the OS then on another drive I have everything else we will call it E drive.
So awhile back I went ahead and added E drive to the indexing, thinking that It would improve my search time.
I don't know what I did or if I did something wrong, but now every time I go into E drive now the first time in the morning I have to sit and wait forever for the green bar at the top to finish loading. I don't know if it is indexing or what it is doing but it takes forever. So maybe I did something wrong, but the time I saved in searches is offset by the time it takes to load first time now.
After the first time its ok, but still im thinking about setting it back the way it was cause it was faster the old way but honestly I don't remember how I did this in the first place.
So questions are:
Is there a way to keep this from indexing every time its loaded first thing in the morning but still keep the indexing?
I did find in drive properties where to take the indexing off, but isn't there a way to just del the index file for drive E without have to take forever to process removing the index one file at a time which is the default way the system does it?
Im really puzzled here..
Thanks
