I don't know what disasterrific things my older sis did to my ever-pampered laptop, but when I came back home it won't boot at all. It goes to BIOS splash screen and to POST, reboots, then to BIOS splash screen again, in a continuous manner.

Can't also boot into safe mode.

Tried resetting BIOS settings to default, nah.

Can boot to GRUB4DOS somehow, but I don't know how to use it.

My laptop is a Neo B5110N, by the way. I'm just taking chances before the inevitable happens (repair install). Any ideas on what to do will be greatly appreciated.

Regards

Hi,

You can try doing Flea Power, remove the battery and charger/ac adapter/power cord from your notebook, press and hold the power button for 20 seconds to discharge any residual current inside the laptop.

If the issue still persists, then I would recommend running Hardware Diagnostics.

Greetings from here in our living room, and thank you for the reply :)

I just did flea power, but the symptoms remain unchanged.

By the way, how do I run Hardware Diagnostics?

Hi,

Glad to hear from you. For Hardware Diagnostics, you might want to speak to your system manufacturer. Different computer brands have different Hardware Diagnostics and I am mostly aware about Dell Diagnostics.
But one more thing you can try is Confirm Hard Drive is recognized in BIOS. If NO, load BIOS defaults.

Greetings once again :)

I did a little bit of research on my end, but it seems Neo and Compal itself doesn't have any hardware diagnostics tool without relying on any active running OS, though I see in BIOS that the HDD, RAM, and CPU are intact.
