My INSERT key is disabled, stuck on INSERT.
How can I return it to factory default ... its TOGGLE state?
I was using a keys combination Ctrl+INS to show my clipboard extender.
But in the Insert-toggle-state occassionally tapped INS by mistake,
As a search & peck typist I invariably ended in grief, having Overwritten valuable data.
I assumed if I suspended OVR the INS key would behave (WRONG)
Registry fiddler ... I got it wrong
When I rebooted my PC I was confronted with blue-screen and a very long message that Windows was broken.
A previous Restore Point returned me to INSERT in disabled mode.
How can I return my Registry Key "Keyboard Layout" to happy toggle state.
View attachment Insert Key is disabled_REG.txtView attachment Insert Key is disabled_REG.txtHere is an exported REG file (as TXT ) outlining my predicament
I cannot paste the TXT file "Inline" so I hope this has worked
Thank you.
