Hi,
Please help me find appropriate cables to pigtail off my existing ones to install 2 ssd's in a single hdd bay,
The bracket for the two ssd's is easy enough or the use of Velcro
But the cables I'm not at all sure of for the psu which is built into the tinny psu
The motherboard I'm not sure if a splitter exists to use the same cable or would it connect directly to the motherboard and split from there ?
Thanks for any direct links to my needs Newegg/ Amazon.. Amazon is where I saw the dbl bracket for the ssd's, View attachment 340614 View attachment 340615

Mike, the power splitter is no problem. Those are easy to come by. The problem is a splitter for the data cable. I have never seen one and don't know if you would want to use one. You would be running 2 SSDs from one port and performance would suffer a lot, I'm sure.
Interesting my old x-p was like that all it had was a loop going from one hdd to another hdd bay if added to it :/
Could of just been a power loop I'm not really sure ?
So what you basically saying if a mobo was compatible with multiple hdd or sdd's it would have another connection on the mobo ?
No more slots the video card takes up both I had to remove the cable t.v. card to fit it in.

Bummer,
Sounds like a more straight forward method would just to get a single power extension and mount both ssd's to out side of the case and manually switch back and forth
Data cable is plenty long enough to go outside the case :/
Thanks guys
Cheers.

I would get one of theseand stick one SSD into an eSata enclosure. There are more elaborate enclosures like this one, but they are a bit more money. I find those enclosures extremely practical. eSata is faster than USB3 but USB3 is also OK.

Thank you,
No room for this, 2 Port eSATA PCI-E Host Adapte - Newegg.com
I only have two slots and my video card is taking up both of them
There used to be a cable t.v. dedicated slot which I believe is the same as the above would connect to but I had to remove it to fit the secondary vga port into,
This shows the cable card installed, http://www.sevenforums.com/pc-custo...one-s-pc-build-suggestions-2.html#post2650641
But I do already have an enclosure with a special usb cable to do exactly what your suggesting

If your USB is USB3, that would work well too. I run all my virtual systems from a 240GB SSD either from eSata or USB3. It's practically the same as from the internal disk - and I can run those from any system.

As much as I'm not crazy about mixing up 7 and 10 booting again :/
It either that or going hillbilly and strapping both ssd's on the outside of the case and manually switching back and forth
Not much of a chance win-10TP would mess up win-7 that way

For one I'm not nearly as smart as you
I tried that copy system reserved to C thing it just did not work,
I never knew about the esata connection option but now I do and might do it seems like a more pliable option,
Bad thing it is my backup external case but was only about 10-15 bucks locally another won't break the bank

Everything
Wouldn't win-10 still screw with booting even if the 100mb partition wasn't there on 7 ?
And even if win-7 had the boot/ system on it wouldn't when installing win-10 do the same thing with 100mb partition
I guess I never really got to understand the bios stuff with out the partition being create http://www.sevenforums.com/tutorials/1649-clean-install-windows-7-a.html
Warning
If you want to install Windows 7 using UEFI instead of BIOS, then see this below first.
