Solved Install 7 on new hard drive with valid key, windows saying not valid

haha, i understand. you guys are awesome with all ya'll's knowledge, and are on alot of threads. i am learning alot from all this stuff i am trying.
i saw the verified button at the bottom, but (i can't remember)but i think it was greyed out. I decided to eliminate the possibility of a dvd problem or with the dvd drive, and put the recovery disks toshiba created on a usb drive, which i am currently trying now. i also discovered that both the 'recovery' partitions are blank, so no dice on doing something with those, like greg was saying. i am crossing my fingers with this usb solution tho.

You need to unhide the files in the Recovery partitions at Control Panel>Folder options>View>unhide System and Hidden files.

If options to create a letter are greyed out then right click on Disk Mgmt or Command Prompt to choose Run as Admin.

Sorry i havn't been on for a few days, i have been occupied with some other things.
So, thought i would give an update.

I finished making the recovery media on the 16GB sandisk USB, then installed the new hard drive.
I let it work its magic that night, and the Toshiba recovery finished successfully when i woke up the next day and was waiting for my input. After i rebooted the laptop, i let it reconfigure itself the whole day while i was at work.

When i got in that night, and turned it on, there was a fresh install of windows on it (plus all the Toshiba bloatware) and to my much surprise, it pulled the OEM_SLP back onto the computer, so i didn't have to deal with the whole key fiasco.

So, the computer is now up and running, with all those hundreds of microsoft upgrades, and the laptop owner is happy to have his computer back...

@noeldp, now i understand the whole COA, OEM_SLP keys thing, after rereading your post, doing a little more research and getting this laptop finally set up.

For best performance overall I would Clean Up Factory Bloatware.

Factory Recovery always reactivates itself with OEM-SLP key.
