haha, i understand. you guys are awesome with all ya'll's knowledge, and are on alot of threads. i am learning alot from all this stuff i am trying.
i saw the verified button at the bottom, but (i can't remember)but i think it was greyed out. I decided to eliminate the possibility of a dvd problem or with the dvd drive, and put the recovery disks toshiba created on a usb drive, which i am currently trying now. i also discovered that both the 'recovery' partitions are blank, so no dice on doing something with those, like greg was saying. i am crossing my fingers with this usb solution tho.
