Hello piyashrija, welcome to Seven Forums!

I would leave the IDE/ACHI option set on what it is for the existing Windows 7 install and get Vista installed, then sort the issue, because if you have one OS at ACHI and the other OS at IDE then you'll have to change it in the BIOS whenever you boot from one to the other; first have a look at the 2 tutorials at the links below to get some ideas; be sure to post back to keep us informed.

Consider reinstalling Win7 32 bit with the license key on the COA sticker on bottom of laptop. You are entitled to use either 32 or 64 bit with each license.

Check the Acer SUpport Downloads webpage for your model computer to make sure 32 bit drivers are available, although most all with be in installer or arrive quickly via Windows Update.

If you can borrow or find a 32 bit installer, we can help you unlock all versions if necessary so you can install your licensed version.
