Hello to everyone!
To begin, please look at the picture attached.
Normally, I must not encounter any of this "privilege" problems since I am an administrator. Before, when I am installing any software, it always warn me about security issues before it begin the installation, which is normal because I set it to do so, and it install it with no problem. Then, after some time, when updating my Java, an error pops up (the attached picture), saying that I don't have any permission to do it. I am thinking that it is an admin problem so I tried to "run is as an admin" even though I'm using an admin account, but I failed. I also tried to change it properties to "always run as admin" but also failed. Now, I cannot install any software nor update anything that modifies the Windows programs.
Upon doing some back tracking, I noticed some things that may cause the problem. Please check if it can help:
1. I change my User Account Name; I notice that after changing the user acct name, the location of files that are saved in Default folders (i.e. My Pictures, Downloads, etc.) doesn't update (example, from C:\Users\oldname\Downloads\setup.exe to C:\Users\newname\Downloads\setup.exe). So, when these files are tried to run, even I use "newname" admin acct, it fails because it searches the setup.exe file from the "oldname" folder location.
2. Upon checking the Users folder, even I changed my User Account name, the folder doesn't change its name. I am thinking that even I do have an admin account, accessing the folder named after another admin account is not possible (but don't know if I'm correct).
I tried to copy the .exe file from a location other than the Default folders and run it. It successfully installed! So maybe, running any program from folders associated with "oldname" account cannot be used with other account?
I'll really appreciate any kind of help from you, guys! Thanks in advance!
Sorry, I think I forgot to attach the picture.. so here it is.
