Hello,

I went through the installation process of Windows 7 Professional once, and then it began the process again after completing (I think) the first time.

I am installing on a new, blank, hard drive on a Compaq Presario C700.

I am currently back to the "Where do you want to install Windows?" page. The first time I had no partitions to select. Now I have two, the first says "Disk 0 Partition 1: System Reserved." The second says "Disk 0 Partition 2."

What do I need to do?

Any help would be greatly appreciated. I'll mail you a beer ;)

If there is no data on the drive, and if you have the win 7 dvd, I would delete both the current partitions and do a clean install.

Please forgive my ignorance, but I thought I did do a clean install. I just installed a new SATA Scorpio 320 GB notebook hard drive. Should I still delete both and start over?

Thanks in advance!

remove the DVD and reboot the machine and see if Windows boots.
If not, then re-do the install.

Exactly. You have likely started over only because you allowed the DVD to boot in to install again.
