I just installed a geforce 750 TI OC onto an asus p6x58d premium when I boot up I get Express Gate which is some sort of OS that resides on the graphic card, I assume... you can browse etc.... If I exit out of the EG and go to the OS the OS crashes. I get to Startup Repair and I'm told that it can't be repaired. When I first installed the card and booted the PC acted like it couldn't find the OS&; I went into the bios and changed the boot order. It still boots to EG but it did TRY to boot to the OS.. So I leave EG and it goes back to the boot. IDs the OS drive, asks if I want repair or normal. Repair does not work, normal blue screens. I have not installed drivers.....the board was returned and all i got was the board. No cd halp1

Express Gate is a feature of the motherboard bios, disable it in there then try booting your OS again. What happens if you remove the new card and boot like it was before, does it load? What card was in it before?

Hi,
Yea I remember seeing pci-e in boot options I suppose if someone had a ssd.. expansion card there instead of a gpu it might be different ?
I'd optimize defaults and save and exit bios and see what happens.

disabled. It won't boot. BIOS does not show the SSD/OS drive under hard drives but in boot priority it does show and when the PC boots it does show the drive.@D With EG disabled it does the same thing except I don't go into and then out of EG. The previous card was a HD5850. This board does not have integrated graphics. I guess I will put the old card back in and see what happens. Start up repair says it cannot find a problem and to remove and new cameras or music players that I may have attached. Safe mode blue screens as well.

First make a check to see if your sata mode is set to IDE and not AHCI (I bet it was AHCI and when you put in the new card it triggered a reset or something). Also try moving your ssd sata cable to the 3rd sata port as well. If it will not show up in the BIOS as existing you're having a conflict problem of some kind. Changing just your sata mode may fix your woes, depends on if the the OS was installed with it as IDE or AHCI.

If none of that works then try replacing your old card with same steps.

It was set to IDE. I changed it to AHCI and it tries to boot and It says Starting Windows and crashes It is not detecting the OS drive though in the BIOS (under Storage Config.). I don't get it....how could it even start the OS or do a repair if it didn't see the OS drive and why does it SHOW the OS drive when booting up but not in BIOS (under AHCI settings) The SSD is still shown as IDE under Boot Settings / HDDs I reset the BIOS to default and it asks for proper media. I guess I'll go back in the BIOS and point it to the SSD and trying unplugging/replugging, though I already did that once. OK. I unplugged all the sata and made sure the OS was in sata. Boot - No HD detected! Yeah right. Went into the bios SATA is AHCI AHCI config shows port 3 as HD Boot order was messed up. Put the SSD to 1, again. It boots, splash screen says pass through IDE mode and NO HD. But it boots???? I am now in the OS. I guess I will swap cards and make sure it's set to AHCI and the boot order is correct. HOW WHY does it say there is NO HD detected???
