Solved GTX 750 TI Display Problem

Recently, my GT 630 recently broke so I thought it's finally time to switch to another one. So I bought a GTX 750 ti, I put the card in the slot and booted the machine. When my computer displayed the bios logo which is Asus with a black background, it showed a blue one instead. I thought it was normal because I still uninstalled the graphics driver but when I installed the driver, the problem still persists. All colors are being shown wrong and the resolution is too small which is why there are black parts currently on the monitor.

Please look at the attachment to see an example of the color of the screen. I'm using an DVI-HDMI cable and I have also tried customizing the screen resolutions in the NVIDIA control panel and changed the standard thingy from automatic no manual. So yeah guys, I really need some help right now.

Have you tried the HDMI to HDMI option? It looks like you have a failing adaptor, (Cable). as the 750Ti has a direct HDMI option it's a simple test - also try using the other DVI port as they are set-up differently

I'm actually running an ASUS 750TI so am amusing you have the same outputs

Also go to the nVidia site and get the latest Driver and install - use their online checker to ensure you have the correct driver

Yeah I also tried HDMI to HDMI connection baut the panel only has a slot for mini HDMI.
The other DVI slot bears the same result too.

If you have the latest drivers, I would suspect either the actual graphics card, or the connector cable, and as the cards are very reliable, the prime suspect in this case would have to be the convertor cable.

ThrashZone As I've mentioned, it's a DVI-HDMI connection.

Ultimate test is dvi to dvi so try another monitor
You could also try a vga only monitor with a cheap dvi to vga adapter which most graphic's cards come with.
Why throw hdmi in the loop ?

GTX 750 ti doesn't have a vga slot.

No but as Barman has said it has 2 dvi's
A monitor would have a vga but it sounds like you're using a t.v. not a monitor.

The only way to troubleshoot this type of issue is the try every option -

With the latest certified drivers ...

If all the connectors produce a bad image - then the Monitor/TV is faulty (try another Monitor/TV) OR set-up incorrectly, (check settings and reset) OR the Graphics Card is faulty, (check that card is seated correctly AND any required power connectors are attached correctly OR RMA card for replacement)

If just one Connector Cable does not work then that Connector Cable is faulty (replace connector cable)

what cables you use will depend on what connectors you have on the Card and the TV/Monitor Try not to use multiple adaptors if possible as these tend to degrade signals - the same applies for "cheep and cheerful" cables of any sort

ThrashZone yeah I'm using a T.V. but it also has a VGA slot and an HDMI.
Barman48 I really hope the graphics card is not causing the problems.

Get a D-Sub port and see if it displays the same problem.

Thanks guys. I already solved the problem and as all of you have said, the cable's busted so I replaced it with a working one.
