Solved Installing Direct X 11 with my Asus Geforce 8500GT

hi, i would like to install Directx 11, i have a Asus geforce 8500GT graphics card. I know that this graphic card support Directx 10. My question is: will i be able to install Directx 11(i have the setup right now) with my Asus geforce 8500GT?

Not really accurate.

That just means Windows 7 is DX11 capable. It says that on every install of Windows 7 from the System tab regardless of the card. If the gfx card doesn't support DX11 (as far as I know, a nVidia 8500GT doesn't) you won't have DX11 even playing a DX11 game. Real check is on the Display tab in dxdiag.

You have to have a DX11 capable card (GTX 480/580, etc or ATI 5000-up series) to use DX11 graphics (like in a DX11 game).

so if i can have DX11 even though my CPU doesn't support it. Will the DX11 graphics apply to my gaming experience?

so even though i install DX11 with my graphic card, it won't apply to the gaming graphics?

is it better to install DX10?
Note: i just want best gaming graphics during gameplay.

Yes. You have to have a DX11 capable graphics card like I stated above to take advantage of any DX11 games. You don't have a Dx11 card, so don't worry about it. In that case, the games will just use DX10/9 even if the game is DX11 capable, but your card isn't DX11 capable.

All you need to do is to install this and that's it - Download Details - Microsoft Download Center - DirectX End-User Runtime

Or if you want, the offline installer (same thing as above, just offline)- Download Details - Microsoft Download Center - DirectX Redist (June 2010)

It will install and use what's appropriate.
