Installing Macrium Reflect

Need really this help, please
Started to install "macrium", well what I downloaded on the first place was only the downloader program, And it started to download, lucky I did not click to install at the end of the download. Now I have some questions and I need them soon please.
Which option to use - free or home ?
Shell I select Macrium reflect + PE or just Macrium reflect
Which PE to select if I have to install with PE, my system is Win 7 pro 32 bit.
Answers will be much appreciated.

Macrium "free" is the "free edition". I didn't know there was a separate version that included the WinPE. WinPE is needed to create a bootable rescue disc. Usually, Macrium will select the correct version when you run the Create rescue media from within Macrium Reflect program.

Go here: Macrium Reflect Free

You will see a green box (top right) that says download now. It will take you to the Macrium download on cnet.com. Under Macrium Reflect Free click the Download Now (green box).

Once installed you will get a pop up asking to create "Rescue Media". Go ahead and make it. You will need it later. If by chance you miss that chance to make it, don't worry, you can create it another way before you make image.

This is for the FREE version. I use it and it works great.

Macrium Installation

Hello Forum,
Thanks so much for the prompt answers.
Have not yet installed the program, I think there are some problems.
I started the downloaded file (ReflectDL.exe size 3.463 KB), selected the "free" option, unchecked the "Install at the end of download", I just saved it to a folder, it started to download about 155 MB, at the end there was a log file. The download ended successfuly.
In the Macrium folder were only 3 files, enclosed a screenshot of content of the folder.

I opened the log file to see what was downloaded and done - still not installed the program, in the log file
(a copy) I added a note and in many places I put a (*) sign, please read the log file enclosed.

In C:\Program Data\Macrium\ReflectDL there was only ReflectDL.Log file.
After you read the log file and the note inside, and all the rest, please tell me if it is OK to go on and install the program or something is wrong.

It did not install since you unchecked the "install at the end of download". Select the file in your attached image (v6.1.1000_reflect_setup_free_x86.exe) and that will install Macrium on your computer.

I think that this is normal. The 155mb download is of the Windows PE 3.1 components that are needed to create the rescue disk. You will be asked to do this when you first open Macrium Reflect after the install is complete.

Looks like it took up 132MB on the dvd of mine. No, it will not mess up Windows. Its very important that you have one just in case you are unable to boot.

You can ask as many questions as you like. That's what this site is for. keep us posted as to your progress.

It won't mess up Windows. In the previous version of Macrium there was a 1.7GB download. They have cut that down considerably.
