After you transfer the OS from the HD to the SSD make sure the SSD is aligned correctly.
Depending on how you transfer the OS it could copy the HD alignment to the SSD (incorrectly).

When you install XP as a dual-boot you plan to install XP, all XP programs, games, and data on the spinner ?
You won't have XP installed on the SSD, is that your plan ?
If so, that means your XP OS will be running from a WS Green HD (Disk 0), right ?
