I backup onto a local USB drive (I also backup onto the cloud, backblaze, but that's not relevant here)
The original windows backup was in November and occupies 688GB. Then (using a file explorer) I can se that every few days a new subfolder is created occupying between 1 and 3G, I assume incremental backups, so now the whole occupies 1.1TB
A couple of days ago I remember some error message saying windows backup wasn't working, so I just started it off again or so I thought, I don't exactly remember
But what seems to have happened is that windows decided the old backup 1.1TB (entitled Backup Set 2019-11-13 122249) was complete, and that a whole new backup set needs to be started, so this morning I discover there is no space left on the USB because it created a new backup set (Backup set 2020-02-27 123456) occupying 700GB approx.
I've tried deleting that new backup set but it looks like that's no good because I'm being told that the disk doesnt have enough space (even though there is appx 700G free)
I could delete the backup from November I suppose, but what I'd prefer is that the program just kept incrementally adding to the backup that already exists. Is that possible?
I've tried quite hard I hope this is clear enough.
Thanks
