Hi,

Will the intel HD graphics in the Celeron G555 be enough to run games that are 10 or more years old? The highest spec games I want to play on it is like warcraft 3 and dreamfall. I want to play them at max settings and I know integrated graphics is bad for gaming but its only playing old games.

Edit: this is a new build that I'm selecting components for so I can't just install them and see if it works.

Hard question to answer since, AFAIK, the Celeron is more of a work force than anything else and the HD Graphics should support things like youtube, MS Office and things like that... I would say the only thing you can do is try but I doubt you'll be able to Max Out anything with it.

The again... I could be very wrong! ;)

Yeah I think I'll make sure I get a case that can accommodate an expansion slot. Worst case scenario I just have to get a graphics card.

What about the nvidia ion integrated graphics in the asus AT5IONT-I motherboard?

It looks like a multimedia Motherboard but again... hard to say and if it does, I highly doubt you will be able to max out those games, it all depends how good were the games to begin with and how much requirements they required.

Perhaps you are on to something? Get a good mobo and make sure you have a PCIe slot for a decent card... something that can run you between 40 to 75 bucks that is not the greatest and the latest but good enough for what you will be playing.
