Intel and hardware makers such as Dell, HP, Acer and Asus will launch their first major foray into the tablet market today -- more than two years after the introduction of Apple's iPad.
yay! finally tablets running non-ARM Win 8 (so you can put on whatever linux you want and possibly Win 7).
That Atom core they want to use seems to be similar to the last netbook processors although with even better power management, so it's a good processor for what you do with a tablet.
Good to see that netbook evolved into transformers. Was very sad to see them die.
I can see Apple taking all those companies to court in about a year.
Assuming they won't get laughed off courts like when they tried with with Samsung, going against Intel isn't a so smart move.
Other that being a way bigger fish than them, it makes processors for mac computers as well.
