I need a Windows 7 driver for this device Intel® PRO/Wireless 2200BG Network Connection . The website says it is outdated and no longer supported. Moreoever all I can find on the website are Linux Win 2000,X and Vista drivers. Please help??!!!
I have the same problem -- and older laptop, which actually runs Windows 7 very well (no Aero, but who cares!). Unfortunately it also has the old wireless card.
Hey
I was worried too. But I know the solution!
I have the same wireless built in card (Intel PRO/Wireless 2200BG) and I have windows 7 Ultimate x86.
The good news are I was accessing this forum initially through cable-LAN until I went on Intel's download support webpage and downloaded the Windows Vista drivers: Confirm Download Operating Systems&lang=eng
I then used the Device Manager under Computer Management to manually update the "unknown network adapter" drivers by pointing it to the vista w32 folder I had just downloaded from the above webpage.... and voilá! I've just disconnected the LAN-cable and I'm accessing the internet wirelessly!
Thank you leinadamil, I was kind of not confident while installing the driver as mentioned by you, but it did work and saved me going for a new laptop or new wireless adapter. Just to mention this, I had to register and say thank you once again.
Hi. Sorry for necroposting, but solution from leinadamil not works for me. I just take error "This device cannot start. (Code 10)". I tested also drivers for XP, but reached same result. Has anyone an idea how to resolve this?
